Who these workshops are for
Committed students
who want to understand the “why” behind the work — not just follow a routine.
Teachers and instructors-in-training
who want to deepen their Classical knowledge and sharpen their eye.
Serious movers
who feel better when they train with structure, accountability, and progression.
Every workshop is grounded in the original Classical method, taught on authentic apparatus with detailed, hands-on guidance — so you don’t just memorize choreography, you understand how the system fits together.

Use what you learn to get more out of each session — and to understand why your teacher chooses specific exercises for you.
Practically Private & class members:
Build context for the sequences you do in class so you can move with more intention and precision.
Teachers & trainees:
Sharpen your eye, cueing, and ability to progress/regress clients while staying loyal to the method.
Common questions about our Classical Pilates workshop series in West Hollywood and online.
Do I need to be an instructor to attend?+
No. Path to Excellence is open to committed students and instructors-in-training. A basic familiarity with Classical
Pilates is helpful, but you don’t need to be a teacher to benefit — just ready to focus and learn.
What level should I be for these intermediate workshops?+
These Saturday workshops assume you’re comfortable with Classical basics and ready to work with more flow, stamina,
and complexity. If you’re newer or returning after time away, we recommend starting with Privates or our Classical Pilates for Beginners
offerings first.
Are these workshops in-person only or available online?+
Most workshops are taught in-studio at Breakthrough Pilates, with select sessions offered via livestream.
When a livestream option is available, you’ll see a separate button in the booking section above.
Can Path to Excellence count toward my continuing education?+
Many teachers use this series as part of their ongoing Classical education and to support existing teacher-training
programs. If you need documentation of hours, email info@breakthroughpilates.com
before your workshop and we’ll be happy to help.
What is the cancellation policy for workshops?+
Because spots are limited, we ask that you honor the studio’s workshop cancellation policy noted at checkout in the
booking system. If you’re unsure whether you can make a date, reach out before purchasing so we can help guide you.
I’m brand new to Pilates — is this the right place to start?+
If you’re completely new, we recommend beginning with a Private Lesson or our New Client Specials, then joining Path
to Excellence once you’re comfortable with core basics. You can explore beginner options on our Classical Pilates for Beginners
page.
